The Future Families Initiative CIC

The Future Families Initiative CIC is committed to being open, transparent, and trustworthy in everything we do. We want families, professionals, and partners to feel confident that our support is offered fairly and without bias.

Our Director also runs a separate private practice, The Harrogate Lactation Consultant. This is a completely independent business and does not influence how the CIC operates.

To make sure everything is clear and ethical, we follow these principles:

1. Clear Separation of Services

The CIC provides community‑focused education and support, especially for families who may face additional challenges. The Harrogate Lactation Consultant provides private, paid lactation and infant‑feeding services. These two organisations are kept fully separate.

2. No Financial Overlap

CIC funding, grants, donations, or resources are never used to support the private business. All CIC income is used only for community benefit.

3. No Preferential Treatment

Families accessing CIC support are not directed into private services. If a family wishes to access private care, they may do so independently, but it is never promoted through the CIC.

4. Transparent Decision‑Making

Any situation where the Director’s private work could overlap with CIC activity is openly declared and managed to ensure fairness. All decisions are made solely in the best interests of the families and communities we serve.

5. Professional Boundaries

Contact lists, referrals, and partnerships developed through the CIC are not used for private business marketing. CIC eligibility criteria are applied consistently and without influence from private practice.
