Purpose

To reduce health inequalities by ensuring all individuals and professionals understand the science, physiology, and social context of pregnancy, birth, infant feeding, and early development.

Why The Future Families Initiative Matters

My clinical background and ongoing work continue to show that when people understand their bodies, their choices, and the science behind pregnancy, birth, and infant feeding, outcomes improve — not only for individuals, but for communities and future generations.

My training is designed to build this foundation early. I aim to equip young people with knowledge, confidence, and curiosity, and to support professionals with up‑to‑date, evidence‑based education. All programmes are created to deepen understanding of pregnancy, birth, infant feeding, and infant development. A range of modules and training packages are available, tailored to different levels of experience and professional roles.

Supporting children to be inquisitive, confident, and informed about growth, development, and health is also central to my work. My school‑based programmes align with the RSHE curriculum and are carefully designed with age‑specific content suitable for KS1, KS2, and secondary students.

What to Expect From Your Training and Education

Each session is delivered using a structured lesson plan with clear learning objectives and agreed expectations. Content is tailored to the group’s learning needs, including age‑appropriate material, preferred learning styles, and the specific topics you wish to explore.

Sessions available

I can lead group sessions, small working groups or 1:1 sessions around career progression and topics of interest

Training and education packages can be delivered either face‑to‑face or virtually, depending on your needs. Sessions are facilitated in‑house, using spaces such as classrooms, halls, libraries, or other suitable areas within your organisation.

For health professionals, in‑house training can be provided within GP practices, NHS settings, or local facilities. Additional venue fees may apply where external spaces are required.
